G1

Since it's Maori Language week Mrs Hudson has taught G1 a game called  Candlesticks. Here are the instructions and vocabulary.

We had to line up on one side and Mrs Hudson would call oma. If she did we all ran and the taggers would try to tag us. When they tagged us they had to shout hopu. People could get rescued by someone skipping around them and calling whakaora. We are going to do a different game each day.

Day Rua of the Maori games in G1. Today Mrs Hudson taught us the human knots and crosses. When you play there are toru chairs in toru rows so there are iwa chairs in total. Mrs Hudson numbered us off in a boys and girls line then she called out a number in Maori and the people who are that number race towards the chairs to get toru people in a row so they can get a point.

For Day Toru of Maori language week we played a game of Ultimate Atua. Mrs Hudson taught us the instructions which are... Walk around like a kuri (dog) and go up to anther person who is acting like a kuri then start playing paper, scissors, rock. The winner goes up to a Moa but the loser stays as a kuri. Depending on if you won or not you move up or stay as a kuri. These are the levels... Kuri - dog Moa- Moa Tame/Wahine-Male/Female Atua-God Aymee and Holly.
 Ebru was our first Atua.
