On Wednesday 16 of June was our EHS cultural show evening.this awesome evening happened every two years. Here are some of our privileged classmates that performed in this country uniting time
Last Friday the kapa haka went to Waterloo school to participate in our annual kapa haka exchange with Waterloo and Boulcott School. We had a wonderful time seeing the other schools perform! Here we are giving it our best!See if you can spy our new uniforms.
Today at Tikanga Club we made headbands!! Kapahaka groups sometimes wear headbands as part of their costume when they perform. Last week we learnt about the KORU so today we designed our own Maori pattern onto a headband. Lots of us used the koru shape!! Check some of us out below-
The Junior Tikanga Club has been meeting every Monday for Term 2 and we are continuing for a few more weeks in Term 3. We have been learning waiata, flying poi, playing with rakau, reading legends, learning te reo and doing art activities!
